[Episode 5 and 6] I Miss You - recaps + my thoughts

Episode 4 ended with a question, will Soo Yeon stay for her family at least or will she be too hurt and scared and runaway with Hyung Joon?

This is a bit long for a recap and review. But I just have to write it this way for the continuance of the story. My thoughts are muddled up, I have to write as fast as I can.:))

Episode 5

Soo Yeon's family is devastated. Not only her mother Myung Hee but all the people that cares for her. I feel the loss of Sung Ho, as if he lost his own daughter, Eun Joo. He is such a good man. His heart knows what is the right thing to do, even if he loose his job. His mistake of convicting Lee Tae San as a murderer, he is repaying back for keeping mother and daughter as his extended  family. That's why even if all of his colleagues were convinced that Soo Yeon is dead already, he did not give up. And he is right. She is alive.

The only part that made me sad was that he almost had her back. As he was chasing her, he did not have time to phone someone or asked for back up. I guess, that's how the story wants it. He died doing his best for a little girl who suffered so much.

A life was lost. But it won't stop truth from surfacing in the right time. Jung Woo ran away from home as he realized who and what his father as a man. And likewise, Tae Joon feels the same way for his son.

Saddening that power and greed will take first place in a father's heart over his son's cries for help. Jung Woo stayed with Soo Yeon's family with Eun Joo. There he found a place that comforts him.

And perhaps he wants to repay Soo Yeon's mother for that one moment of weakness, when he was so scared for his life, that eventually led him to abandoned for a while Soo Yeon. It was really understandable in any situation when you know that you are nothing but a helpless boy and you have no strength to fight anymore and when you find that small opportunity to escape, you would take it at all costs. As a fifteen year old boy, no one can blame him. But the reality of what he had done soon hits him. Wanting to go back but too late.

Now, his mission remained firm. He will find Soo Yeon no matter what it takes. He is living his life solely to find her. He vent his anger and frustrations to the man who molested her in front of him. A painful memory that will always haunt him forever. The face of a man who has no mercy even behind bars. His lie that she is dead or maybe not hangs unanswered. His cruelty is making Jung Woo loose his senses.

Meanwhile, Soo Yeon is now known as Zoe, a successful fashion designer. She seemed okay on the outside, with Harry Borrison aka Kang Hyung Joon by her side. Her boyfriend, her lover.

They build a new future, leaving the past behind. Or so they thought. Until the truth is out in the open, their paths will always be intertwined. The unquestionable death of the nurse, Jung Hye Mi, brought them together. Jung Woo as a detective handling the case.

A surprise photo hanging inside a room of Hyung Joon's home made Jung Woo stopped and stared. For there, hanging at the wall is a face achingly familiar to his eyesight. The child Soo Yeon he lost is here, in front of him. The resemblance is unmistakable. But who is she?

Chants from memory of their moments together, would that help him find her? For there is this woman, chanting like the Soo Yeon he used to know. His long lost friend. His only friend.

Is she Soo Yeon? She definitely looks like her, but is she for real? Why she kept denying him? Can't she see how painful it is for him? How he longs to find her?

Oh...this drama is making me cry. It ended in episode 5 this way. And my hopeful heart soars a little for this small incident. Their first meeting after along time!

Episode 6

After seeing the face of this nameless woman drenched in the rain, he let go of her. he was confused. He may be wrong...again. And again, it brought him to tears.

He only has the image of a fifteen Soo Yeon and it was from that long time ago. Where is she? Udi?

While Myung Hee opened her heart to Jung Woo and also to Eun Joo. After all, these two are her remaining family.

Again, He found solace in another home, while his own family doesn't even care.

Except for his sister. Ah-reum.

The episode continued the quest for truth. The truth behind Hye Mi's mysterious death in the pool with a cctv camera capturing one of the men of his father at the gate the night she died. And finding out the true identity of this Zoe, who chants like Soo Yeon and has a face like Soo Yeon, who is hiding behind Harry's protection, openly flaunting their relationship in front of him.

He is confused. He wants the truth! Why won't she give him that satisfaction?

And here is another man, claiming what is his. Her fiance' Harry.

But habits don't lie!

They both found solace and security with each other. Their bond is tight, created from their cruel past that still haunts them.

One of the moments that made me want to hug Soo Yeon was when she was confronted by her nightmare. The man who scarred her for life is in front of her!

Her trauma burst out in the open. It's hell for her. Her fright, her shame, her pain all in one, together sucking her sanity and making her vulnerable as ever.

How long will she block her mind from remembering the past? Painful as it is, she deserve to overcome it. They all deserve to move forward, Soo Yeon, Jung Woo and Hyung Joon. But at what cost?

Episode ends with Jung Woo beaten by the convict who after only a few years, got his freedom.

for now, this is my thoughts
