SMTOWN Singapore – Q&A Session at Press Conference

Following up on our previous sharing of the press conference, here is the QUESTION & ANWSER session of the press conference.

Q: Kangta, how does it feel to hold your first SMTOWN concert in Singapore?

Kangta: This is the first time we are having this concert in Singapore. I’m really looking forward to it. It’s been a while since I have been to Singapore and it is still as beautiful. I really hope you enjoy the performance tonight.

Q: Yunho, SMTOWN will be held at The Float which is a prestigious place in Singapore where a lot of big events are held. How does it feel for you to perform in such a prestigious place?

Yunho: Like Kangta has said, it’s our first time here and first time performing on the water. We have been looking at the view here, Singapore is really beautiful with fantastic view. Thanks for our fans that wait for us, you guys will have a good time tonight.

Q: BoA, thank you for being here. What do you have to say to your fans in Singapore who waited just to see you?

BoA: it’s been almost 10 years since I was here. I was here for MTV Music Awards back in 2003. It’s been a while, so I’m really happy to be back in Singapore to see my fans. The show will be really great and we prepared a lot of good performances. Please have fun.

Q: SM TOWN has been to a few cities, which was the most memorable and why?

Onew : There are so many memorable cities, I want to make it like the first time I perform. So i want to try my very best, like the way i did it the first time. With this opportunity, I would also like to promote our next Shinee concert on the 8th of December. So we really look forward to your support.

Q: Kris, what do you think of your Singaporean fans who have queued up for so long?

Kris : I love them, they are beautiful. Like I said, this is my first time here, i didn’t expect so many fans. Thanks to my fans who have been supporting us.

Q: ChangMin, did you have any special preparations for the show? Do you have any pre-concert routines?

ChangMin : This is the first time we are performing in Singapore. We have just released our new album, which you will hear. There are also other songs from the album which we really like to showcase.

Q: Victoria, since SM TOWN is a family event, how is the atmosphere like backstage?

Victoria: Actually, i feel that SM Town concert is the most fun, because at the backstage, both seniors and juniors will cheer each other on. Especially during the last song ‘Hope’, all of us will be on stage together, play together. I feel that this is the most significant difference as compared to other concerts and this is the most fun part.

Q: Donghae, what is it like backstage? Is it really crazy? What are some of the fun things that happen backstage?

Donghae : Due to our busy schedules, sometimes it’s really hard to catch up with our seniors and colleagues. This is a great opportunity for us to talk to each other, catch up with each other. This episode is not about backstage, there’s once we had a chance to have a drink with our senior, Yunho. He was a little bit tipsy after a few drinks. He had this rule, which was fantastic, we would like to show you one day. It is not his charisma, it’s something that you can’t imagine, we would show you one day.

Q: Seo Hyun, you came in here and you saw the fans queuing up, what is that like for you? I know you have fans all over the world, it must have been an amazing feeling for you.

Seo Hyun : This is the first SM concert here, we were not quite active here. We never really perform here in Singapore. But despite that, there were so many of you queuing up for so long and loving us so much, and really we are thankful. Actually I’m kind of worried that those who have been waiting outside for so long would get sick or something. For that, we will really perform tonight and you can really look forward to it.

Q: Suho and Kris, it is your first time in Singapore. What’s your first impression of Singapore?
Suho: It is really cold in Korea right now, but it is really warm here and it’s great. Singapore is a place where I really want to perform and I get to perform today. I’m really grateful and hope everybody will enjoy the concert tonight.

Kris: I agree with Suho, it’s cold in Korea right now but the weather is really nice here. This is the first time for us to held special stage on the water, we are looking forward for this.
